Warren Barr South Loop accused of failing to properly assess foot condition

Medical malpractice 08

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Warren Barr South Loop and several other health care providers, citing alleged breach of duty and negligence.

Bessie Barner filed a complaint on May 18 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to determine her foot condition was not the result of a surgical procedure she had undergone, but rather a different medical condition altogether. As a result, she claims she needed to undergo additional surgical procedures and sustained an undisclosed permanent injury. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to perform proper examinations on her foot and follow the proper standard of care while treating her wound.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount greater than $50,000, plus the cost of this action. She is represented by Robert Fink of Collison Law Offices Ltd. in Chicago.
