CHICAGO — A woman is suing Dr. Rami Lutfi, Mercy Hospital & Medical Center, S.T. Surgical Consultants S.C. and the Chicago Institute of Advanced Surgery for alleged medical negligence.
Kelly Ann Baker filed a complaint on May 21 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to provide her with proper medical care when she sought treatment from the defendants for a ventral hernia. The plaintiff claims that she needed to undergo multiple surgical procedures to fix the hernia. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to repair the hernia during the first surgical procedure.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Jack J. Casciato of Clifford Law Offices PC in Chicago.
