CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing Peterson Park Associates LLC, which does business as Peterson Park Healthcare Center and Progressive Healthcare Consulting LLC, a nursing care facility, claiming negligence and wrongful death.
Kayla Richardson filed a complaint June 28 in Cook County Circuit Court on behalf of the estate of Shari Richardson, alleging Richardson was injured when she fell on Oct. 7, 2016 as a result of the defendants' allegedly negligent care, treatment and monitoring, causing her physical and mental condition to decline. Shari Richardson died on Dec. 16, 2016.
The plaintiff holds claims Peterson failed to hire properly trained registered nurses and assistants and failed to properly assess Shari Richardson's needs, mental state and physical condition.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks a judgment against defendants for compensation greater than $50,000. She is represented by Terrence Davey of the Law Offices of Steven J. Malman in Chicago.
