CHICAGO — A couple is suing a doctor and medical practice, citing alleged professional negligence.

Maria Dax and Quinn Bonansinga filed a complaint on Aug. 16 in Cook County Circuit Court against Randy McCool, M.D. and Northwest Women's Consultants, S.C alleging Dax developed a post-operative infection that resulted in total abdominal hysterectomy after she received postpartum care from defendants following her cesarean delivery in August 2016.

As a result, Maria Dax claims she suffered severe permanent injuries, including the inability to bear additional children.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment in an amount in excess of the jurisdictional minimum. They are represented by Robert F. Geimer of Tomasik Kortin Kasserman, LLC in Chicago.
