CHICAGO – A patient alleges a Chicago dental office falsely represented to her that she would never be personally financially responsible for dental services it provided.

Terri Lohman filed a complaint on Dec. 11 in Cook County Circuit Court against Art of Modern Dentistry PC and Dr. Farideh Nikoo Daftary alleging breach of contract, fraudulent inducement and other counts.

According to the complaint, on March 28, 2016, the plaintiff sought dental treatment from AMD. She alleges office staff told her it would bill her workers' compensation insurance carrier and she would never be personally financially responsible for any dental services.

The plaintiff alleges she was billed for some services that were never performed. She also alleges the defendants breached their agreement and did not reimburse her for all of the charges for her treatment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an amount of more than $50,000 plus punitive damages, attorney fees, court costs, and other relief. She is represented by Robert J. McLaughlin and Blake Stubbs of Hart McLaughlin & Eldridge LLC in Chicago.
