CHICAGO – An estate administrator has filed a suit over allegations of wrongful death against a Glenview skilled nursing facility.
Edward Danavi, as independent administrator to collect the estate of Maria Danavi, filed a complaint on Jan. 7 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Glenview Terrace Nursing Center, A K Care Inc., et al. citing the Wrongful Death Act.
According to the complaint, Maria Danavi became a resident of Glenview Terrace Nursing Center on June 16, 2015.
The suit states on Jan. 7, 2017, Maria Danavi complained of nausea and vomiting and she later died the same day.
The plaintiff holds Glenview Terrace Nursing Center, A K Care Inc., et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to timely transfer Maria Danavi to an acute care facility and failed to appropriately respond to significant changes in her condition.
The plaintiff seeks an amount in excess of the court's jurisdictional requisite to fairly compensate the plaintiff for the injuries, losses, and damages; plus costs and attorneys' fees. He is represented by Paul D. Richter and Caitlin K. Finnegan of Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz in Chicago.
