Chief Innovation Officer Kathryn DeBord has been selected as a 2019 American Bar Association LTRC Women of Legal Tech award winner. The ABA LTRC (Legal Technology Resource Center) awards celebrate women in the legal tech space and encourage more women to join the field. Honorees include tech founders, CEOs and small business owners, reflecting the broad impact of legal tech.
DeBord is Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner’s global chief innovation officer and co-leader of Cantilever, the firm’s legal operations consulting group. In her role, DeBord leads the firm’s Innovation Team, an international cross-disciplinary group dedicated to legal service delivery innovation. As part of the firm’s commitment to adopting and driving technology-enabled practices where appropriate, DeBord oversees lawyers, technologists and related professionals who participate in technology trials and prototypes relevant to their practice areas. She also serves as an adviser to the firm’s various initiatives to train its associates in legal innovation.
The ABA Women of Legal Tech Award honorees will be recognized at the Women of Legal Tech Summit, Feb. 27 at the Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
