The widow of a man who allegedly died of Covid in 2020 after contracting it on the job servicing nuclear power reactors owned by Exelon has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the electrical utility, asserting they should pay for her husband's illness and death.

On March 28, plaintiff Debra Einhaus filed suit in Cook County Circuit Court against Exelon Generation Company. The suit alleges that Debra Einhaus' deceased husband, Terence Einhaus, contracted the virus while working at Exelon's Dresden Generating Station in Morris.

Einhaus is represented in the case by attorney Michael Wierzbicki, of the firm of Horwitz, Horwitz and Associates, of Chicago.

The complaint alleges that Exelon's negligence led to Terence Einhaus contracting the virus that causes Covid-19, resultung in his death on Nov; 27, 2020. At the time of his death, Terence Einhaus was employed by Allied Power and was assigned to service reactors at the Dresden Generating Station.

The suit further alleges that Exelon had control over work conditions and failed to ensure worker safety or alleviate unsafe work habits despite being familiar with federal, state, and local guidelines.

Einhaus is seeking more than $50,000 in damages, according to the complaint.
