Customer's fall during pedicure lands Toe Paradise salon in court

A suburban nail salon is facing a lawsuit from a man who alleges he fell while getting a pedicure and sustained further injuries after employees put a liquid n his wound.Oliver Hintz filed suit Feb. 23 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Toe Paradise Nail Salon & Spa Ltd.According to the complaint, Hintz was at the salon for a pedicure on Sept. 13, 2013, when he slipped and sustained an injur

Fall out of a party trolley leads to lawsuit

KassermanA woman who fell out a trolley during a pub crawl in downtown Chicago is suing the driver and company. Carly Kenny filed suit Feb. 17 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Robert A. Hoffman and TRT Transportation Inc., doing business as The Chicago Trolley & Double Decker Co.According to the complaint, TRT operates trolleys for groups to travel around the city in a "mobile party lounge"

Jewel hit with another suit over Salmonella outbreak at Tinley Park deli

Another Tinley Park woman is suing Jewel over claims she got sick after eating food she bought from the grocery store's deli.In the lawsuit she filed Feb. 17 in the Cook County Circuit Court, Janet Lewis alleges she purchased food from Jewel's deli on May 16,2014 and two days after consuming it, suffered severe gastrointestinal symptoms.She claims that the Cook County Health Department on June 11 learned
