White Castle is facing a lawsuit from a woman who claims she injured herself after falling on debris outside of its Evergreen Park restaurant.

Laverne Walker filed a lawsuit July 10 in the Cook County Circuit Court against White Castle System Inc., individually and doing business as White Castle Management Co., and White Castle Management Co., alleging premises liability.

According to the complaint, Walker was at the White Castle on West 95th Street in the Village of Evergreen Park on July 19, 2012, when she tripped on debris on the sidewalk and sustained injuries. She accuses the defendant of allowing debris to accumulate on the sidewalk and failing to maintain the premises in a safe condition for customers.

Walker is seeking more than $30,000 in damages. She is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Donald A. LeBoyer.
