A woman is suing over claims she was injured while visiting a patient in the hospital.
Maria Knickrehm filed a lawsuit July 10 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Lutheran General Hospital, alleging premises liability.
According to the complaint, Knickrehm was entering Lutheran General Hospital to visit a patient on Aug. 9, 2012, when she slipped on a puddle on the floor and sustained injuries.
She accuses the hospital of failing to maintain a safe premises and not providing proper lighting from the parking lot to the hospital entrance.
Knickrehm is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Edward M. Rubin of Rubin, Machado & Rosenblum Ltd. in Chicago.
