Woman claims CTA bus driver's negligence caused her to be thrown from seat

A passenger on a city bus that rear-ended another vehicle is suing the transit authority and bus driver over injuries she allegedly sustained in the collision.

Priscilla Koniarski filed a lawsuit July 15 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the Chicago Transit Authority and Tina Mitchell.

According to the complaint, Koniarski was a passenger on a CTA bus on July 29, 2013, when Mitchell, the bus driver, rear-ended another vehicle, causing Koniarski to be thrown from her seat. She accuses the defendants of negligent driving.

Koniarski is seeking damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Julie L. Pustilnik of Anesi, Ozmon, Rodin, Novak & Kohen Ltd. in Chicago.
