A Cook County man is suing Illinois Institute of Technology, alleging he was injured while on the job.

Timothy Wren, an employee of Anchor Mechanical, filed a lawsuit Aug. 20, in Cook County Circuit Court against the Illinois Institute of Technology and IIT Research Institute, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 28, 2013, Wren, while working a job at Illinois Institute of Technology, sustained injuries when a wood opening cover tipped and struck him where he was standing on an elevated platform, ultimately causing him severe injuries, both internally and externally, as his body twisted and fell.

Wren seeks damages more than the amount to satisfy the jurisdictional limitation of this court and such additional amounts as the jury and the court shall deem proper, plus court costs. He is represented by attorney D. Jeffrey Comeau of O’Connor & Nakos in Chicago.

Cook County Circuit Court case number 2015L008544.
