Man blames pressure ulcers on negligence

CHICAGO — A man is suing Alden-Princeton Rehabilitation and Health Care Center Inc. and Alden Princeton, alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Paul Craft filed a complaint on Aug. 2 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide him with proper care while he was being taken care of in their facility.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014, he experienced pain from developing pressure ulcers. The plaintiff holdsthe defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to him in order to prevent the development of pressure ulcer or to provide proper treatment in order to prevent further development.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000. He is represented by Michael T. Mertz and Brian J. Holmes of Hurley McKenna & Mertz, P.C. in Chicago.
