CHICAGO — A woman is suing Manor Care of Oak Lawn (West) IL LLC, d/b/a Manorcare, and Manorcare Health Services LLC, d/b/a HCR Manorcare Health Services, alleging negligence in nursing home care.
Marilyn A. Bernhardt filed a complaint on Aug. 12 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide her with proper care.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014, she experienced pain and damages that caused her to be disabled and to incur medical expenses. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to her at all times and failed to secure her in a wheelchair with fall protection.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Telly J. Liapis of Ankin Law Office, LLC in Chicago.
