Kindred Hospital Chicago North accused of malpractice in connection with death

CHICAGO — A deceased man's family has filed a wrongful death claim on grounds of medical malpractice against Kindred Hospital Chicago North, and a physician, identified as Muhammed Salman Mohiuddin, M.D.

Anita Bustos, as special administrator of the estate of Mario Bustos, filed a complaint on Oct. 14 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Mario Bustos.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Mario Bustos died as a result of an improperly performed attempt to change a tracheotomy tube. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to exercise proper caution.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Nathan J. Mirocha of Law Offices of Nathan J. Mirocha LLC in Chicago.
