CHICAGO — A married couple's lawsuit alleges breach of contract by James L. Garofalo, Grady Restaurant Group LLC, Garofalo Restaurant Group LLC and Egg Lagrange TP LLC.
Robert Tibbals and Lindsey Tibbals filed a complaint on Oct. 17 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they improperly kept proceeds of the sale of the Honey Jam Cafe restaurants.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege they did not receive equal payment for the sale of the restaurants, after the defendants allegedly breached their contractual obligations.
The plaintiffs seek compensatory damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Stacey M. Shonkwiler and John F. Shonkwiler of Leland Grove Law LLC in Flossmoor.
