St. James Health-Olympia Fields, others allegedly failed to provide proper medical care

CHICAGO — A man is suing St. James Health-Olympia Fields, DaVita Inc.,related corporate entities, and ISD Renal Inc. for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Jesus Garcia Jr., independent administrator of the estate of Maria Garcia, filed a complaint on Nov. 20 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Maria Garcia suffered severe septic shock and respiratory failure, which allegedly contributed to the deterioration of her overall health. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly review Garcia's medical records to properly diagnose her condition and apply the appropriate and necessary treatment.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by attorneys with the firm of Levin & Perconti, of Chicago.
