The Estates of Hyde Park LLC accused of failing to take measures to prevent woman from falling

CHICAGO — A woman is suing the Estates of Hyde Park LLC for alleged negligence.

Sheila Hayes, independent administrator of the estate of Lela Hayes, filed a complaint on May 15 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Lela Hayes fell while she was at the defendant's facility. As a result, the plaintiff claims Hayes sustained subdural hematomas, which allegedly required surgery.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount greater than $50,000, plus costs and attorney's fees. She is represented by Melanie K. Fairman of Seidman Margulis & Fairman LLP in Chicago.
