Hub 51 patron says he was assaulted by staff members who forcibly removed him from restaurant

CHICAGO — A man is suing River North restaurant Hub 51 and its owners, alleging he was wrongfully and forcibly removed from the premises.

Andres Barriga filed a complaint on March 29 in Cook County Circuit Court against Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises Inc., Restaurant Personnel Inc., Hub 51 and others.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Nov. 17, 2017 when the plaintiff was a customer at the restaurant and was allegedly physically assaulted by having his right arm twisted behind his back as he was forcibly removed from the premises.

The defendant is accused of excessive force.

The plaintiff is seeking damages, plus attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Christopher Johnson of Eisenstein Johnston & Bareck PC in Chicago.
